The 7216 Consent feature allows you to add a 7216 consent radio button to any Signatures item. Once the form is completed, the consent status for that client is updated in Client Management if a matching Client ID exists.
This consent status can also be updated manually in the Client Management dashboard.
User Management permissions allow you to choose which users have permission to view client items based on their consent status.
Upload and process your consent document as outlined in our Send for Signature article.
- Navigate to the Add e-Signatures section.
- Locate the page where you would like to place consent controls.
- Drag and drop the Consent (7216) radio button onto the page.
- The Yes/No text should appear on the uploaded document; only the buttons are visible to the signer.
- Adjust the box size and buttons as outlined in our Additional Signature Controls article.
After the item is delivered and signed, you can view the client's consent status from the Signatures Delivered dashboard.
- Navigate to the Delivered section.
- Locate the delivered item.
- Check the Status in the Consent (7216) column.
- Check your Column Options if you do not see the Consent (7216) column.
Review or update client consent from the Client Management dashboard. To edit consent status for multiple clients at once, see our Client Management: Bulk Import or Edit Clients article.
- Click the Navigation Widget in the top right corner.
- Select Account Management.
- A new tab opens.
- Select Client Management.
- Click Edit in the Action menu for a specific client.
- Select or deselect the 7216 Consent Received checkbox.
- Select an Expires on date for the consent designation (optional).
- Click Update to save any changes made.
Review or update user permissions related to 7216 consent from the User Management dashboard.
Create Offshore User Group
Users in this group can only access documents for clients who have a 7216 consent designation.
- Click the Navigation Widget in the top right corner.
- Click Account Management.
- Click User Management in the left panel.
- Click the User Groups tab.
- Click Add User Group.
- Type a Name for the group.
- Type a Description for the group.
- Select the Offshore role.
- Click Add Group.
Add Users to the Group
- Click the newly created Group in the left panel.
- Drag and drop users from the Available Users column to the User in Group column.
- Click Apply Changes.
The Consent Center allows you to review the current consent status for clients that exist in your Client Management dashboard.
- Click the Navigation Widget in the top right corner.
- Click Account Management.
- Click Consent Center in the left panel.
- Search for specific clients OR
- Click a Column Header to sort in ascending or descending order.

Export the report to Excel.
